DDE Records was born originally as a  dance company in the late 90's by Mike Generale ,guitarist producer/composer and Dee Cozier singer/ composer .Both being musicians with a few hits to their credit as individual artists , Mike charted in Europe in 1996 With the Duo Nylon Moon , with a track called “Sky Plus” and Dee in the late 70s early 80s under the name of Dee D Jackson had a string of hits,  but the major hit was a track called Automatic lover charting all over the world and selling quite a few million copies .They met up in the late 90s and decided after years of working for majors, that they would like to have their own label, hence DDE which led to more labels EYS, EXP, UNG and then a publishing company Dasuppa publishing , it was also a natural move forward ,to comprehend better the music buisness as well as being able to put out tracks because they were liked by the Dde team and not  just because they were commercial.

In the year 2001 DDE began releasing trance and deep house tracks on vinyl which made there way on to many important compilations worldwide, also releasing the occcasional cd of Acid jazz / Jazz, & Pop , electronic .Over the past few years DDE have recorded many top quality jazz albums, from artists including Alberto Mandarini, Paolo Porta, & the quartet Quadricromia to blues guitarist Marco Piccioni & the group Flex, Latin jazz drummer Calixto Oviedo and the Funk Jazz Euro Groove Department featuring Michael Manring. to the recent bands Animalunga and Streetnoise.

Jazz in its many different forms is just one of the passions shared at DDE. Mike and Dee own and run their own studios hidden in the outskirts of  the Turin woods,i n Italy , which provides the ideal environment to nurture and develop talent. (See photos) since 2004 there has been a new entry into the company with Ruben Bellucca - bass player - who shares the same passion for music but Ruben is definately more rock. DDE Records LTD was launched in the UK in 2006, with the release of two  albums ,   Paolo Porta’s “Deceptive Resolution” and the eponymous album from Quadricromia. Paolo Porta and Quadricromia performed as a double bill at the Pizza Express Jazz Club, Dean Street, London .
