10 tracks that illustrate the art of the musician Francesco Sotgiu, 10 musical events far away from the classic jazz sound, in which ermerges the solid & tipical creativity of this Drummer from Sardegna, Songs that seem far apart ,like in a suite ,in the same project, where the identity of each song contributes and shines on the whole design therfore , establishing a hierarchy between the various moments of this artists work, dedicating to the tracks that we prefer attention and major involvement, we should however put aside this little defect and enjoy the cd in it’s complex, a path to cover integrally if one wants to enjoy all the unforeseeable scenes that it can offer. The Music is constructed on the free interaction between the instruments expressing itself with a vitality that blooms continuously around the twisting melodici- ritmic-designs by the three musicians, dynamics of interplay that reminds us of some of the historic Bill Evans trios, in which all the instruments contribute with their own "speech" original to the collective sound definitively far away from the role of the "companions" in which often the musicians – bass and drums – feel almost too bound and tied. It happens like this, in a dreamy like atmospere , blows from Sotgiu's batons, with refined taste and penetrating , fascinated by the intense atmosphere of the track of which the album gets its name "Via del sestante" . Therefore one absolutely interesting proposal, that breaks for a moment the monotony of the usual record companies proposals in which we are constantly object to.a musical page highly enjoyable and full of energy.
